As "Ashes" found out, in April 2022, a 40-year-old resident of the village of Oktyabrsky, Vitaly S., helped the military with vehicle repairs. A few days later, in May, they returned and gave him a combat grenade and a detonator "as a token of gratitude."
The man stored them on the second floor of his garage, and in March of this year, a search was conducted, and the grenade was seized. Additionally, four cartridges were found in a safe, which the resident of the Belgorod region had discovered on his property during construction in 2016.
The Belgorod District Court considered the presence of a minor child as a mitigating circumstance for Vitaly S., but sentenced him to 1.5 years of imprisonment and a fine of 20 thousand rubles for storing explosive devices.
