Oil pumping station «Transneft» in Chuvashia suspended operations after attack by Ukrainian drones

2025.09.27

At the same time, authorities reported that the OPS sustained «minor damage»

The head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, reported that Ukrainian drones attacked an oil pumping station in Chuvashia. It concerns the OPS «Tingovatovo» in the village of Konar near Cheboksary, which belongs to JSC «Transneft — Prikamye» and is part of the pipeline «Almetyevsk — Gorky Oil Pipeline». According to open sources, the station has six tanks with a total capacity of 120 thousand cubic meters.

As a result of the raid, the OPS was suspended, and the facility sustained «minor damage», Nikolaev claims. According to him, the authorities have the situation under control, no one was injured, and «there is no threat to the population».

In August, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck several times at the OPS «Unecha» in the Bryansk region, which is one of the largest hubs of the «Druzhba» pipeline. As a result, Russian oil workers faced difficulties in exporting raw materials through the port of Ust-Luga — the largest in the Baltic and among the largest in Europe.

Attacks on Russian oil industry facilities have led to an acute gasoline shortage in the regions. Over the past two months, the number of gas stations selling gasoline in Russia decreased by 2.6% (360 fewer). The most difficult situation is in the south of the country, where the number of gas stations decreased by 14.2% (in Sevastopol — by 50%). Overall, every fiftieth gas station in Russia stopped selling gasoline
