In an interview with Fox News, US President Donald Trump, when asked about the attack of Russian drones on Poland, stated that his patience is «running thin».
«But it takes two to tango. It's amazing. When Putin wanted to do it, Zelensky didn't do it. When Zelensky wanted to do it, Putin didn't do it. Now Zelensky wants to do it, and Putin — that's a question mark», — Trump stated.
At the same time, he assured that he has already «done a lot» to punish Russia, mentioning tariffs for India, and announced further measures. «This will hit the banks very hard, and will also be related to oil and tariffs», — Trump stated without any specifics.
Meanwhile, as reported by Bloomberg citing several sources, the Donald Trump administration is proposing that G7 countries begin direct confiscation of Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves, which were frozen as a result of sanctions.
Currently, the European Union only uses the profits from investing these funds to finance aid to Ukraine. The US proposes to start the gradual confiscation of the principal amount, according to agency sources.
