Russia attacked residential areas in Kyiv with drones, with hits recorded on high-rise buildings in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital. Fires and destruction occurred. Three people died, including an infant. Another 13 people were injured, reported Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
The head of the city military administration, Timur Tkachenko, wrote that «the Russians are deliberately, consciously targeting civilian objects».
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a nine-story residential building was seriously damaged — the 4th to 8th floors were partially destroyed. Debris also hit a sixteen-story building, resulting in a fire on the 15th and 16th floors. A young woman and an infant died.
In the Darnytskyi district, a fire occurred on the 3rd and 4th floors of a four-story building, with partial destruction of the third floor. An elderly woman died in a shelter
In the capital, debris from drones caused a fire in the Cabinet of Ministers building, Klitschko later reported.
In the Sumy region, one person died as a result of an enemy attack, among the injured was a 9-year-old child, wrote the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Hryhorov. Authorities later clarified the number of injured — seven people.
At night, Russian troops also launched a massive drone and missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. Three people were injured as a result of the attack. A large fire broke out, reported the chairman of the city's Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul. «Transport and city infrastructure objects, the private sector. Emergency rescue operations have begun at all sites», he wrote about the hits. Later, Vilkul reported repeated missile strikes on already affected objects.
As a result of the attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region, residential buildings, enterprises, and infrastructure were damaged, with injured and dead reported.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, the enemy struck Dnipro with strike drones, leading to infrastructure destruction. «The terror of Nikopol continued from the evening. It was loud in the district center, Pokrovska, Marganetska, and Myrovska communities. As a result of the shelling, a 54-year-old man died. Another local resident, aged 64, was injured».
Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones, damaging a kindergarten, a residential building, and an enterprise, injuring 15 people.
In the night attack, Russia used 818 drones and missiles, including 9 Iskander-K cruise missiles and 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
