A monument to the founder of the Cheka was installed on September 1 near the building of the Primorye Prosecutor's Office, across the road from the Vladivostok administration.
The installation of the monument was supported by the Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako and the Vladivostok City Hall. The initiators were the Veterans Council and current employees of the regional FSB. He is an inimitable example for all generations of Chekists," stated the head of the Primorye FSB Denis Simonov.
