The President of Finland stated that his recent talks with Donald Trump indicate that the American leader's patience with Vladimir Putin is nearly exhausted due to Russia's delay in peace negotiations.
'In my last conversation with President Trump on Thursday evening, there were some signs that his patience is running out', — Bloomberg quotes him.
Alexander Stubb considers it unlikely that Putin will agree to a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a week and a half, as planned. In his opinion, this will be the 'turning point' because 'Trump's patience will run out'.
At the same time, the President of Finland emphasized that Trump is the only person who can make Putin pursue peace. 'He is the only one Putin listens to, and frankly, the only one Putin fears', — noted Stubb.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Telegram that the teams of Ukraine, the USA, and Europe are working on the architecture of security guarantees and the project could be ready in the coming days. 'There is now a real chance to end the war. Ukraine is ready for constructive steps that can bring real peace closer. However, Russia shows no intentions for peace and continues to shell our cities... Pressure is needed to change its position, and a high-level meeting to discuss all issues', — Zelensky believes.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey, Nariman Dzhelyal, stated during a telethon that Turkey might send its military to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement to prevent a recurrence of Russian aggression, adding that Turkey could join the states providing Ukraine with security guarantees.
