In Naberezhnye Chelny, KAMAZ employees are prohibited from bringing store-bought food to the plant due to sabotage threats

2025.07.04

The decision was made for "biological and chemical safety at enterprises"

At KAMAZ plants in Naberezhnye Chelny, a ban has been introduced on bringing store-bought and ordered food, only homemade food in containers is allowed, reported the portal "Vesti KAMAZ". The reason was an order on measures for biological and chemical safety at enterprises.

"The restriction adopted in the document is explained by the need to prevent potential mass poisoning threats, taking into account the political situation and the likelihood of sabotage against the backdrop of the special military operation in Ukraine," the message says.

The ban also applies to industrial goods, except those necessary for the performance of official duties.

On July 1, the FSB reported the detention of a 51-year-old resident of Naberezhnye Chelny, suspected of collaborating with Ukrainian special services. He was accused of helping to prepare the murder of a participant in the volunteer battalion "Sparta" who fought in the "LPR", by passing information to the SBU about the location and movements of the potential victim. The special service also claimed that the detainee was collecting information about transport infrastructure and defense-industrial complex facilities in Tatarstan, which could have been used for sabotage.
