Over the past day, three villages in the Kharkiv region were shelled, reported the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov. As a result of the attacks, a 53-year-old man died, and four more people were injured.
According to Synegubov, 47 unguided aerial rockets, 13 KABs, and one drone of the "Shahed" type were used in the shelling.
Civilian infrastructure objects were damaged and destroyed: a private house was damaged in the Kupiansk district, an agricultural enterprise and a recreation base were damaged in the Izium district.
Four more people were injured as a result of Russian attacks in the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. As reported by the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, the Russian military used FPV drones.
Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission reported that the Russian military increasingly uses FPV drones for targeted strikes on civilians in Ukraine.
The report states that drones have become one of the main causes of civilian deaths and injuries in Ukraine, and in some months even surpassed more powerful weapons such as missiles, artillery, and aerial bombs in this regard. According to the analysis of the UN monitoring mission, the Russian military deliberately attacked civilians who showed no signs of direct participation in hostilities. Among the victims recorded by the mission are civilians traveling on bicycles, in personal vehicles, evacuation buses, ambulances, during humanitarian missions, walks, or near their homes.
