In addition to the Department of Deep-Sea Research, the list includes the Rosneft subsidiary Rosneft Marine UK Ltd, the non-banking credit organization Metallurg, LLC Orion Star Group, JSC Atlas, and the UAE-registered Valegro LLC-FZ.
Sanctions were also imposed against Yuri and Igor Karasev, who are associated with Metallurg. Additionally, Vladimir Pristupa, who holds British citizenship, and Polish citizen Oleg Tkach were subjected to restrictions. According to British authorities, they managed a network of companies that supplied sanctioned electronics to Russia.
The updated list is published on the British government's website. Currently, it contains 2766 positions related to Russia.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the new sanctions were coordinated with the G7 countries, whose summit is currently taking place in Canada. However, it is not expected that the G7 member USA will announce new sanctions in the near future, as Donald Trump stated that he is waiting for actions from the European Union first. The EU countries, in turn, have only begun discussing a new, 18th sanctions package.
