The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported at a regional government meeting that one of the electronic warfare systems against drones, which were previously distributed to municipalities, was noticed on «Avito», the publication «Govorít NeMoskva»*.
«Suddenly I saw — one of the electronic warfare units that we handed over to the heads was listed on «Avito». <...> The desire, to put it mildly, to make money when it is extremely difficult for everyone, and some people think that control weakens during periods of tension,» Gladkov said, adding that he sent a subordinate «to go and visually check all the units». «I need visual confirmation of all the units, where they are located, then we will deal with it personally,» Gladkov said.
At the same time, the governor did not rule out that «the information may have been deliberately created» to sow discord among officials. He also recalled seeing unpacked electronic warfare systems in the border Grayvoronsky district, which local authorities had not put into operation despite the «extremely high» number of drone attacks.
Electronic warfare systems should be installed on buses, utility vehicles, and mobile shops. They are also equipped on emergency service vehicles that go out to eliminate the consequences of shelling.
