On Friday morning in France on the A81 highway towards Rennes — Le Mans, an accident occurred involving a bus carrying Ukrainian teenagers who arrived in the country on an exchange program.
Currently, it is known that as a result of the accident, 4 people died, and at least 30 people were injured, 11 of them are in serious condition. «The injured have been hospitalized, traffic on the A81 highway is suspended, and emergency services are working at the scene», — stated the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The prefect of Sarthe, Emmanuelle Aubry, reported that the bus carried children and teenagers aged 15 to 17 years, who arrived on a school exchange. Representatives of the embassy and the Ukrainian ambassador personally went to the accident site.
According to Le Monde, about 87 firefighters and 49 fire engines arrived at the scene.
