However, the numbers of this exchange were not disclosed by either side

On June 10, 2025, the exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine continued. Judging by the published photos, prisoners of war under 25 years old returned home the day before.

Today, Russian state agencies, citing the Ministry of Defense, reported the exchange of severely wounded soldiers. This was later confirmed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. «Today is the first stage of returning our severely wounded and injured warriors from Russian captivity. All of them need immediate medical assistance. This is an important humanitarian act», he noted.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War noted that representatives of the Naval Forces, Ground Forces, Territorial Defense, Air Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, Border Guard Service, National Guard, and the State Special Transport Service, as well as defenders of Mariupol who spent more than three years in captivity, returned home.

«Exchanges must continue. We are doing everything to find and return everyone who is in captivity. I am grateful to everyone who helps», added the head of state.

It is noted that in addition to representatives of the soldier and sergeant ranks, officers were also freed.

At the end of last week, the exchange was in question, as Moscow and Kyiv accused each other of disrupting the planned repatriation of the bodies of deceased soldiers and agreements on the exchange of «all for all». However, the exchange did take place.
