UPD: The number of injured has increased to 22 people
The Russian army carried out the most powerful attack on Kharkiv during the entire full-scale war on the night of June 7. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in residential buildings, three people died, and 18 were injured, reported the city's mayor, Igor Terekhov. Among the injured is a 1.5-month-old child.
«According to preliminary data, as a result of the terrorist shelling of Kharkiv, 18 apartment buildings (three of which have structural damage) and 13 private yards have been damaged so far», — wrote Terekhov.
Russia attacked Kharkiv with 53 «Shahed» type drones, four guided aerial bombs, and one missile. The Kyiv and Osnovyansky districts of Kharkiv were affected. Drones hit a nine-story residential building, causing a strong fire on three floors, which complicated the rescue operation.
«As a result of the impact of 40 UAVs, 4 KABs, and one missile on the territory of a civilian enterprise, a fire broke out over an area of 10,000 sq. meters. There were hits on four workshop buildings. People may be trapped under the rubble», — reported the head of the regional military administration.
At night, Russian troops also attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region. As reported by the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, air defense forces shot down six missiles and 27 UAVs. In Dnipro, women aged 45 and 88 were injured, infrastructure, an enterprise, an educational institution, garages, and cars were damaged, reported Lysak. According to him, there were also hits on an enterprise and apartment buildings in Pavlohrad. In Nikopol, a nine-story building was damaged.
