Elon Musk is leaving the US President's Administration, slamming the door loudly, sorting out relations on social media. Today, President Trump told reporters that he is disappointed in Musk, does not know if their good relations will remain, and that he would have won the election without Musk, who previously claimed that Trump's second term happened only because of him.
Billionaire Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump publicly quarreled over the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. This bill, supported by Trump, provided significant tax breaks and increased government spending, which, according to the Congressional Budget Office, could increase the US budget deficit by $3.8 trillion. Elon Musk actively opposes this.
Musk unleashed a flurry of tweets, reminding Trump of his old position not to raise the debt ceiling, once again criticized the budget bill, and accused Trump of lying, stating that he had no idea about the budget parameters. On his account in X, Musk also launched a poll on whether America needs a third party.
Today, at a meeting between Trump and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the US President said he was disappointed in Musk due to his criticism of the bill, as the billionaire was allegedly aware of the document and participated in its discussion.
“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if it will be [like that] again. He said the most wonderful things about me and didn't say anything bad, but I'm sure it could happen next time. But I'm very disappointed in Elon. I helped him a lot,” Trump said at a press conference.
In response, Musk stated on his X page that he did not know about the document's existence until it was submitted to Congress: “Lies, this bill was never shown to me, and it was passed late at night so quickly that almost no one in Congress had time to read it.”
After this, Musk said that without his support, Trump would not have been able to win the last US presidential elections, accusing him of ingratitude. “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Democrats would have controlled the House of Representatives, and Republicans would have had 51-49 in the Senate. What ingratitude,” Musk said.
In response, Trump stated on his X page that Musk criticizes the bill because it lacks a mandate that “forces” everyone to buy electric cars. “I would have won in Pennsylvania anyway, regardless of Elon... I'm very disappointed in Elon. He knew this bill better than anyone, and he only had problems with it when he realized I was going to cancel the electric vehicle mandate,” Trump said.
“The simplest way to save money in our budget, billions and billions of dollars, is to stop government subsidies and contracts for Elon. I always wondered why Biden didn't do that!” added Trump.
After this, Elon Musk stated that “it's time to drop a big bomb”: the real reason why the materials in the Jeffrey Epstein case, who was accused of child trafficking, have not yet been published is that Donald Trump is mentioned in the case materials.
“In light of the President's statement about canceling my government contracts, SpaceX will immediately begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft,” Musk reacted to Trump's words about the possibility of revoking all government contracts and subsidies provided to Musk.
In addition, Elon Musk believes that Trump should be impeached and replaced by Vice President J.D. Vance.
Rapper Kanye West intervened, suggesting “the brothers make up.”
Meanwhile, Tesla shares lost about 17% in a day.
