UPD: At 9 a.m., the Russian army shelled Sumy with a multiple launch rocket system, as reported by local authorities, there were five hits in different parts of the city. Three people died, 20 people were injured, including four children.
Later, local authorities reported that the number of victims increased to four. "A 43-year-old man, who was in extremely critical condition, died in the hospital. His 7-year-old daughter is seriously injured," local authorities reported. June 4 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Sumy.
The day before, the head of the press service of the "Steel Border" brigade, Ivan Shevtsov, noted that Russian troops managed to advance 6-7 km deep into Sumy region, which allows them to target the city more precisely, writes UNIAN.
On the night of June 3, Russian troops hit the city of Chernihiv with drones, injuring two people. "A 'Shahed' hit was recorded in a private residential sector," wrote the head of the city military administration, Dmytro Bryzhinsky. He also clarified that the debris of downed drones fell on several streets of the city, causing private houses to catch fire at the impact sites. A five-story building and several private houses were damaged.
In Odesa, Russian drones damaged homes and civilian infrastructure, injuring four people, and rescuers extinguished fires all night. The largest fire was at food warehouses. In the private sector, two cars burned, and garages and houses were damaged.
In Balakliia in the Kharkiv region, a drone hit a civilian enterprise, killing one person and injuring another.
In the Sumy region, 47 settlements were shelled 150 times in a day, injuring four people. One multi-story building and about 20 private houses were damaged. The air raid alert in the region lasted 15 hours and 50 minutes in a day.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, 12 people were injured in a day. According to local authorities, the Russian army carried out 579 strikes on 16 settlements, including 11 air strikes and 370 drone attacks.
