He was found guilty of spreading military "fakes"

The Buzuluk District Court of the Orenburg region sentenced lawyer Sergey Salazkin to one year and six months in a settlement colony due to posts on "Odnoklassniki" about missile strikes on Kramatorsk and Chernihiv, reported his lawyer from "OVD-Info"* Evgenia Ryzhkova.

The court found the 57-year-old lawyer guilty in the case of spreading military "fakes". The prosecution requested to sentence the lawyer to two years of forced labor.

Until the sentence comes into force, Salazkin will be under a travel ban. As Ryzhkova explained, during this time he needs to find temporary care for 24 cats.

In mid-May 2024, FSB officers came to Salazkin with a search as part of a preliminary investigation under the article on military "fakes". At that time, all his equipment was seized, and he was released; during the investigation, Salazkin was under a travel ban.

In June 2021, it became known that a protocol was drawn up against Salazkin under the article on disrespect for authority due to a picture on "VKontakte" with the caption "Open letter to the President of the Russian Federation: go to ***". In August, the case was closed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
