This happened after a meeting between the head of the State Committee for National Security of the country and the Russian ambassador

An employee of the 'Russian House' in the city of Osh, Natalia Sekerina, detained by the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan on charges of recruiting mercenaries, was released from detention, reported the AKIpress portal citing the court.

Earlier, TASS, citing a source in the Kyrgyz special services, wrote that the decision to change the measure of restraint was made after a meeting between the head of the SCNS Kamchybek Tashiev and the Russian ambassador to the republic Sergey Vakunov. At the same time, according to local publications, out of the four defendants in the criminal case, the measure of restraint was changed to house arrest only for the employee of the 'Russian House' and an employee of the press service of the Osh city administration.

According to RBC, in the case of mercenarism, in addition to Sekerina, the press service employee of the Osh administration Sergey Lapushkin, the observer of IA 'Regnum' Viktor Vasilyev, and another person whose name is not disclosed are involved.

The criminal case was initiated under the article on 'recruitment, financing, material support, training of mercenaries for use in armed conflicts of other states or violent actions aimed at overthrowing state power or violating territorial integrity, as well as the use of mercenaries in military conflicts or actions'. It is assumed that the charges are related to recruitment into the Russian army. The article's sanction provides for 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.

According to the Ukrainian project 'I Want to Live', at least 360 citizens of Kyrgyzstan fought as part of the Russian army in Ukraine, some of whom have already died.
