In Khabarovsk, the 1st Eastern District Military Court sentenced Yegor Shaposhnikov to 5 years in a juvenile correctional facility for a case of "preparing a terrorist attack" at a military unit, the court's press service told "Mediazona"*.
In addition to "preparing a terrorist attack," the 15-year-old student was also charged with "undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities" and "participation in the activities of a terrorist organization."
Information agencies reported the detention of Shaposhnikov on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in November 2023, citing the FSB.
"Baza" claimed that the teenager created a group on Telegram, "where he advocated the overthrow of government representatives and the rise to power of representatives of his movement." Additionally, according to a channel close to law enforcement, the ninth-grader found instructions on the internet for making Molotov cocktails and planned to throw them at the local military unit's territory.
In August 2024, in Khabarovsk, another teenager, 15-year-old Valery Zaitsev, was sentenced to 4.5 years in a juvenile correctional facility in a case of "participation in a terrorist organization."
According to the "OVD-Info" project*, since 2018, law enforcement has initiated political persecution under "terrorist" and "extremist" articles against 16 minors aged 14 to 17.
