«Mediazona»* drew attention to the court ruling published on April 4. Seven other people, who previously worked within the structure of the state corporation, are listed as co-defendants in the «RUSNANO» lawsuit: Yuri Udalsov, Oleg Kiselev, Boris Podolsky, German Pikhoya, Dmitry Pimkin, Vladimir Avetisyan, and Nikita Tychinin.
In the lawsuit, the company demands to recover about 3.9 billion rubles and 20.4 million dollars (~1.7 billion rubles) in «damages» from Chubais and his former colleagues, related to the flexible display production project Plastic Logic, launched in 2009.
The plaintiff believes that the project did not achieve its intended goals, and «all investments were directed towards financing the activities of companies registered in foreign jurisdictions».
At the end of January 2025, it became known about the detention of former deputies of Anatoly Chubais on charges of abuse of power with damages amounting to 43 billion rubles. Three of them — Artur Galstyan, Boris Podolsky and Marina Kasenkova — were sent to a pre-trial detention center by the court.
The investigation believes that «RUSNANO» employees previously «abused reporting» — in particular, they presented multi-billion debts to banks as corporation assets and concealed the investment of budget-allocated money in unprofitable projects, wrote «Kommersant».
