UPD: The number of victims has increased to 20 people, nine of them children. 75 people were injured. Against the backdrop of videos of killed and injured civilians after the strike on residential buildings, TASS reported, citing the Ministry of Defense, that the Russian Armed Forces "struck a meeting place with commanders and instructors in one of the restaurants in Kryvyi Rih."

The Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih claimed the most children's lives since the beginning of the war, the UN Monitoring Mission reported.

Russian military hit the center of a residential neighborhood in Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile, reported the head of the city administration Oleksandr Vilkul, noting that the number of victims is constantly growing. "At the moment, there are already 12 dead, more than 50 injured," he wrote. A few minutes later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk region Serhiy Lysak clarified that there were already 14 dead, including five children — a playground is located near the explosion site.

Fires started at the strike site, residential high-rise buildings were damaged.

"A Russian missile on an ordinary city. Just on the street. In an area with residential buildings. Preliminary, this is a ballistic strike. As of now, it is known about 14 dead, including 6 children," wrote Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Every day Russian strikes. Every day people die. There is only one reason why this continues: Russia does not want a ceasefire, and we see it. The whole world sees it. Every missile, every attack drone proves that Russia only wants war," added Zelensky.

On April 2, the Russian army already attacked Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles, killing four people, and injuring 17 others with varying degrees of severity.
