UPD: Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the number of injured has increased to eight people.
During the night, Ukraine was subjected to a massive missile strike, with energy and gas infrastructure targeted in various regions of the country.
In Kharkiv, a ballistic missile hit a civilian enterprise, and the city's head Ihor Terekhov reported seven injured, with six people rescued from the building's debris. A nearby apartment building was damaged, and all residents were evacuated. Additionally, several cars burned, and 10 garages were destroyed.
«The strike occurred near homes. Currently, seven people are reported injured. According to preliminary data, the enemy used a ballistic missile», — reported the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
In the Poltava region, debris from an air defense-downed missile fell on a private residential house. Local authorities reported two people injured, including a child. Two private residential houses and a household gas pipeline were also damaged.
In the Chernihiv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, infrastructure objects were also damaged as a result of the attack, with no casualties.
«Russia continues its energy terror. Once again, energy and gas infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine is under massive missile-drone attack», — stated Ukraine's Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko. He noted that rescuers and energy workers are working to eliminate the consequences — all necessary measures are being taken to stabilize energy and gas supply.
As reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the night of March 7, in addition to the massive drone attack, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea and also launched bombers.
