According to the statistics of the Lithuanian Migration Department, in 2024, 598 Belarusian citizens and 125 Russian citizens were recognized as posing a threat to state security, public order, and public health, writes Delfi.
Of the 598 Belarusian citizens recognized last year as a threat, 179 were denied a temporary residence permit, and 232 were denied a document replacement upon expiration. In addition, three Belarusians were not issued a permanent residence permit in Lithuania, and nine were deprived of this document.
Of the 125 Russian citizens, 35 were not issued a temporary residence permit in Lithuania, 36 were not extended. Also, 24 Russian citizens were deprived of the previously obtained temporary residence permit. For the first time, Lithuania refused a permanent residence permit to 16 Russians. All these people are banned from entering the country.
