Samara Region will allocate 97 million rubles to pay recruiters involved in attracting citizens to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported the local publication «Zasekin.RU».
Funding from the governor's reserve fund will be received by the local branch of the «Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation, and Navy of Russia» (DOSAAF). The funds will be directed to payments to those who, in 2024, engaged in campaigning residents of the region to join the contract service.
Until October 2024, residents of the region were entitled to 15 thousand rubles for recruitment to the war, but then the reward amount was increased twice, first to 30, and then to 100 thousand rubles.
At the beginning of 2025, the regional authorities decided to increase the one-time payment amount for signing a contract to a record 3.6 million rubles, which became the highest rate in the country.
According to «Idel.Realii»*, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in the war in Ukraine, 2108 natives of the region have died.
