On the night of October 30, the Russian army attacked the capital of Ukraine with drones. The air attack on Kyiv lasted more than two hours. Nine people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl.
As reported by the Kyiv military administration, the UAVs approached the city from different altitudes and directions. The air defense forces shot down the drones, but debris hit a multi-story residential building, causing a fire in several rooms on two floors. Eighteen people were evacuated.
That night, Russian troops struck with a missile of an unidentified type from the Belgorod region at a private sector in the Sumy region. Russians also attacked Ukraine with 62 Shahed-type strike UAVs and drones of an unidentified type.
According to the Financial Times, Kyiv and Moscow are negotiating a mutual cessation of air strikes on energy infrastructure facilities. A Ukrainian official, speaking on condition of anonymity, reported a decrease in the frequency of strikes on energy in recent weeks. It is noted that such an agreement is in the interests of both countries.
Meanwhile, shelling of Kharkiv, Sumy, and drone attacks on Kyiv have been occurring every night for several consecutive days, targeting residential areas.
