2024.10.23

This was reported by the commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov, citing the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs

The deputy head of the main military-political department of the Ministry of Defense, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov, stated in an interview with Z blogger Maxim Kalashnikov that the police recorded 187 crimes committed by Russian military personnel in the Kursk region, as noted by the "Agency"*.

In response to a question from a pro-military blogger about rumors of "inappropriate behavior" by "Akhmat" fighters in the rear, Alaudinov presented crime statistics. "I am currently in the Kursk direction. I immediately went to the head of the Kursk region's Ministry of Internal Affairs [Viktor Kosarev] and asked him directly: 'What problems do you have with "Akhmat" as soon as I arrived here?' He smiled and said: '187 crimes have been committed by the military in our territory. These are murders, rapes, and others. None of these crimes were committed by the "Akhmat" unit fighters,' Alaudinov stated.

The Russian authorities have not reported crimes committed by Russian military personnel in the Kursk region. However, videos from surveillance cameras in stores, which were robbed by the military, have been published in Telegram channels. At least one such crime involved military personnel from Chechnya, as reported by an advisor to the governor of the Kursk region.
